COVID-19

I am immunocompromised so please know that I continue to take the COVID-19 pandemic very seriously and hope you do as well!

  • I accept 1 indoor event a month. If the count is over 100 people and zero covid precautions are being taken then chances are I’m not going to be photographing that event.

If your event is being held outside we can discuss Covid protocols

  • There are a few options for product sessions being held indoors.

Option A: Products can be photographed in a studio. *studio fee will apply

    OR

Option B: Products not requiring a model can be delivered to me, photographed remotely, and delivered back to you ASAP!

This allows me to create quality imagery in a Covid-safe environment.

  • Hell. Yes. I wear a fresh K-95 to every session! If we are outside and spaced out enough I will always ask clients before removing my mask for any instance and typically stand 6ft away when doing so.

S E R V I C E S

  • Almost anything and everything!

  • I work outside about 95% of the time so no I do not. Sorryyyyy.

  • You have a couple of options!

-Option 1: Book studio time at a secondary location

-Option 2: I have portable lighting for shooting on location meaning if you want a simple lighting setup chances are I can come to you!

  • Areas 30+ miles outside of the DC area may incur a travel fee however I’m willing to drive/fly/take a train to wherever I’m requested and most importantly wherever the work is intriguing! Make sure to include where you’re located or where you wish to do the shoot for an estimate of travel fees.

B O O K I N G + P A Y M E N T S

  • Yes, but all sessions require some form of consultation prior to the session. Your request must be sent via email, request form, or (if you have my contact info) phone call. If you haven’t spoken to me directly your session is NOT confirmed.

  • Check your spam folder! Depending on your email set-up responses may go to spam. All requests are addressed within 24hrs so a response likely just went to your spam folder :)

  • After your consultation, you will receive and photo agreement to be filled out and resubmitted. Along with the photo agreement you will need to submit a deposit that can range between $50-$250 depending on the estimated total of your service.

  • Deposits are good for 30 days! Need to move your booking around? Your deposit covers a 30-day window. After 30 days the booking process starts all over again (updated agreement, a new deposit, and potentially a new estimate).

    NOTE: Deposits are non-refundable.

P H O T O S H O O T & D E L I V E R Y

  • Your photos will be delivered to you digitally! When they are complete they will be placed in a private online gallery. Then you will receive an email from me with download instructions :)

  • For almost all services the turnaround time is 7-10 days. For weddings and other events, there will be at least a 2-week wait.

These turnaround times are estimates based on my average schedule availability. If my schedule permits your images might be done sooner!

During winter holidays and graduation season, the wait times can increase due to high volume so try to plan your shoots in advance if possible!

  • VERY lightly and only as needed. I ask every client if there is anything they would like me to be mindful of when retouching but there are certain things I will and won’t retouch or heavily edit.

    Will

    • acne, if preferred

    • temporary scars

    • hair

    • makeup touchups

    • removing people or signs out of the background (sometimes it’s possible, sometimes not, but I’m always happy to try!)

    Won’t

    • body shape/size

    • skin color

    • height

    • acne, if preferred to be left alone

    • permanent scars

    • eye/hair color (unless for special effects for the image itself)

    • location

    • lighting

  • If I can fit it into my schedule images can be expedited for an additional fee depending on the specific date/how soon you need them.

Need some quick edits? You may request 3-10 edits to be ready within 3 days of the session for $15 per image.

*these may not fully reflect what the file images will look like

  • There is always some taboo with photographers and clients when it comes to RAW files. This is my current policy and please note that it is subject to change at any time.

    Non-Commercial Clients:

Before asking any photographer for RAW files ask yourself the following questions:

    1. Do I know how to handle RAW files? e.g. importing, a damage-free workflow, storage, etc.

    2. I’m paying the photographer for their ability to capture and edit the images. What then is my intended use of the RAW file?

    3. Am I a publication with an in-house editor who will need the RAW files for future use? (If so please jump to the commercial client section!)

These are questions that I ask clients to make sure that the RAW files make sense to release in the first place. If you’re requesting them because

    • you’re a photo enthusiast and want to practice editing. Welcome to the lovely world of photography! No, you may not have them.

    • you’re afraid I will sell or use the images without your permission. That is completely understandable! But, no you still may not have them. Before each session, each client is required to sign a photo agreement and in that agreement, you will see a part that states that your images are not to be sold or used beyond portfolio use without your written consent.

If you would still like to request access to the RAW files all clients MUST request the RAW files within the initial booking as well as the intended use of the unedited files provided. Depending on the service, intended use, and amount of work created it will be determined on a case-by-case basis if the pricing for the RAW files will be per file or as a whole collection.

NOW! Please don’t take this template to any other photographer you work with and pressure them into giving you the same. We’re all different so to each their own. I have come up with what works for me and I reserve the right to revoke this offer at any time.

    _____________________________

Commercial | Corporate | Branding Clients

Commercial, corporate, and branding client pricing will be determined by budget, use, and work created. Clients may request specific files or the entire catalog of RAW files.

This request MUST be stated with the initial booking as well as the intended use of the RAW files provided in order to provide an accurate quote.

For full access and ownership of all unedited RAW files, an estimate will be provided to you based on the assessed value of the final work created. The minimum fee for the entire catalog of RAW files is $850 and is subject to change. Again, please provide this request in your booking consultation so that a proper estimate can be given for the entire job.

    Thank you!

  • Nope :) Sorry, we don’t devalue artists around here! The days of underpaying Black women are over so there will be ZERO tolerance for this whatsoever.

If you simply can’t find it in the budget to make it work I never take it personally and I hope someday we can work together. Read more about payment plans to see if that can help!

That said, do NOT ask for a discount, try to negotiate costs or complain about pricing. If you wish to pay less just do your shoot on your phone and don’t forget to wipe the camera off first so they don’t come out blurry (seriously it takes 2 sec and your pics will come out better!)

  • Currently, payment is accepted through Venmo, Cash App, Zelle, cash, and check.

A credit card payment portal is coming to the site soon!

  • Payment is the day of your session unless stated otherwise on the photo agreement or a payment plan schedule has been put in place.

  • Payment plans are available for sessions totaling $350 or more. Payment options range from 2-4 split payments.

Once payment plan dates are determined please note that there are late fees. If you do not pay on time there will be a $10 late fee added for every day a payment is late.

  • For every 14 days, an invoice goes unpaid without payment attempts being communicated a $100 late fee will be applied to your final bill.

If paying by check, please confirm the date the check has been mailed to avoid additional late fees.

A C C E S S I B I L I T Y

  • All good! Just let me know what I can do to accommodate you and I will do my best to do so :)

  • Please state this in your consultation as well as your preferred method of communication and I will do my best to accommodate you as best as I can

For those with hearing loss or partial hearing If I’m able to bring on a sign language interpreter if any are available in time for our shoot :)

  • Chances are I am too so we can either talk about it if you want, push through the session, and create some beautiful/authentic art for you to enjoy

    or

we can reschedule with no hard feelings and no pressure!

I try to be transparent with my clients about mental health because I do not want to create the pressure of someone having to feel like they need to be “on” just to take a picture.

Health comes first and that means mental health as well!

  • OMG me too. I, personally, am able to perform my job best in low-stimulating environments and try to grant my clients the same. If there’s anything I can do to help accommodate you or someone in your group let me know (avoiding using camera flashes, soft props only, whatever is needed)
